Neo Hair Lotion side effects and safety tips
Possible side effects of Neo Hair Lotion such as scalp irritation or dryness, how to do a patch test, derma roller safety, and when to stop and see a doctor.

Any product you put on your skin can cause a reaction in some people, including herbal ones. Here's what to watch for with Neo Hair Lotion, how to patch test, and when to stop.
Possible side effects
Most people use scalp lotions like Neo Hair Lotion without problems. These are the reactions that can occur:
- Mild stinging or a cool feeling when you apply it, especially on freshly rolled or dry skin. Lotions like this often contain alcohol.
- Dryness or flaking of the scalp
- Redness, itching or a rash, which can be signs of irritation or an allergy to an ingredient
Some people also report shedding a few more hairs in the early weeks of any new routine. If shedding is heavy or doesn't settle, stop and see a dermatologist.
How to do a patch test
- Apply a small amount to a coin-sized area behind your ear or on your inner forearm.
- Leave it for 24–48 hours without washing it off.
- If there's redness, itching, swelling or burning, don't use the product.
Derma roller safety
- Clean the roller with 70% isopropyl alcohol before and after every use.
- Use light pressure. It should never hurt or make you bleed.
- Never roll over cuts, acne, sunburn, infection or an irritated scalp.
- Don't share your roller, and replace it when the needles look bent or dull.
- If your scalp feels sensitive after rolling, wait before applying the lotion, or use the roller less often.

Stop and see a doctor if
- you get a rash, swelling, blistering or ongoing burning
- your scalp becomes painful, weepy or infected
- you notice heavy shedding that doesn't settle
- you get any reaction near your eyes or face
Who should check with a doctor first
Ask your doctor before use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have a scalp condition such as psoriasis or eczema, have known allergies to plant extracts, or are under 18.
Fakes are a safety risk too
Counterfeit bottles can contain anything. Buying sealed, original stock from a seller you can contact is the simplest way to stay safe. Here's how to verify your bottle.
